During times of crisis, chaos, and traumatic experiences, you enter into “survival mode.” Traumatic stress can disrupt your ability to function effectively – because when you go into survival mode, activity in the thinking and rational part of your brain is dimmed. There are, however, mind-body therapeutic approaches that can help your brain process unhealed pain and ultimately decrease the emotional intensity of your experiences.
